Service Description: Mentoring program for children and youth * child is matched with a screened adult volunteer based on mutual interests

In School Mentoring (6-14 years) - A volunteer mentor is matched with a child in an elementary school for about one hour per week (during the school year) to help the child socialize and establish a friendship and a support system

Go Girls! (12-14 years) - A 7-10 week mentoring program for girls in Grade 7 and 8 designed to provide girls with information and support to make good choices related to active living, balanced eating, and self-esteem

Game On! (12-14 years) - Mentoring program for boys in Grade 7 and 8 designed to provide boys with information and support to make healthy, balanced lifestyle choices

Fees: Free
Application: Parents/guardians can call directly to initiate service * referrals also from schools, health professionals and community agencies
Eligibility / Target Population: Little Brothers and Sisters - Children 6-16 years
Big Brothers and Sisters - 18 years and older with police clearance, medical clearance and character references * must go through a screening and training process
Languages: English
Language Notes: Interpretation available upon request
